Hey Ladies!
What gorgeous weather we've been having! There is no excuse now - we need to get our butts out there, our run is 2 months away. (Yikes)
To help with our motivation and training, let's have a 6K fun run next Saturday March 31. We can start at 9am and if the weather is good I'd like to invite you all over for some yummy pankcakes and fruit to refuel our bodies out on the patio, what do ya say?
Message me to confirm you're coming.
Happy Running
Andrea

Calling all Ladies!
Calling all Ladies, calling all ladies. Yes, you the one who made a commitment almost 2.5 months ago. It's time to shake that donut and get off that couch! Our, yes, "OUR" race is just two and a half months away.
Oh, no you don't! DO NOT say that there is not enough time to train! It sure is. I've only been out 3 times in the last 2.5 months. And to answer your question, Yes, I almost died going around the block. Nevertheless I went around it. I am determined, (not really but faith comes by hearing)..I AM DETERMINED to do this. I will NOT allow my procrastination to have me hooked up to an oxygen tank at the end of the race, nor should you.
When Jamie started running, he signed himself up for a half marathon. He was not a runner at all and only had 2 months to train. Once he was signed up, he knew he needed to do it. Look at the link below and get yourself registered asap. Start Running. It's suppose to be beautiful the next few days, so it will be a great time to start your training. Find an accountability partner, who is also running the 10km. When you have one, let me know and I'll post them on the blog. Send me a 'blog' update of your journey so far. Walking to the cupboard for snacks during biggest loser does NOT count as a journey story! I believe in you, and in return I need you to believe in me!! Let's do this girls!!
Again, let me know when you've registered so I can Post you as SIGNED UP, and let me know who your accountability partner is!

Carly's Journey
So I ran/jogged/walked 4.4k in 30 min with Tara tonight. It was my second time trying any form of exercise in... ever. Perhaps it is possible. And the plus side - carboloading. Boy were those cookies good before the run! Yum :)
Jess M...
The only reason I've signed up for this insane idea of running a 10k is to go away for the weekend with the girls! And the medal for running it! Oh and the crazy outfits we are going to wear. And of course the the guilt free ice cream after the race!!!!
So today I signed up for the race, and then sat down in front of the tv and thoroughly enjoyed a bowl of ice cream. I'll start training for this endeavor tomorrow....

Attention Runners, Non Runners, and Wanna Be's Get Registered!
Hey Ladies,
All things are possible to those who BELIEVE!! Getting registered is the first step!
You can register here and also look at the course map.
www.burlingtonrunners.com/index.cfm?pagepath=Races/Sulphur_Springs_Trail&id=5711
When you've registered let us know and we'll throw your name on a 'WHOSE IN? List".
Our plan:
We're going to leave Friday night. We'll pile in a few vans and head to Ancaster. Andrea, is going to find us a fabulous CARB filled restaurant, so we can dine together. We'll then head to a hotel, have some laughs and get a good night sleep so we dominate the 10km in the morning.
For those of you who are new to running or haven't run in a LONG time, here's a helpful link to give you some sort of a game plan.

Game on!
This New Years we had our house filled with friends. It was a night filled with SO many laughs. Really, Im so thankful for the people the Lord has put in my life. We laughed, we ate, we told stories, we ate, we played games, we ate... you get the point.
We were piled in the living room one on top of the other, gathered around the TV eager to watch the ball drop. We were stuffing our faces full of Portugese pastries, stuffed mushrooms, meatballs, chocolates, cheese & crackers, baked goods, and more. We casually got talking about resolutions. Wide eyed stares went around the room, no one dared to say 'Eating healthier' for the fear of ruining the moment of self indulgence. Andrea, piped up and said, 'I'd like to do a 10 km this year." Sarah, chimmed in and said, she was doing a run with her family this year. I was listening intently and with all the excitement bubbling up inside of me, I belted out "We should ALL do a 10 km together!" Andrea, being Ms. Positivity was quick to follow up with her amazing cheerleading abilities and was already cheering us on with 'Yes, it will be fun, lets do it!" The laughs and howls that came from..'THE MALE SPECIES' in the other room was a little overbearing. Hardly able to breath from laughing hysterically at what we just proclaimed. Comments of 'YOU? YOU guys are going to run a 10 km? I'll believe it when I see it." Were belted from their mouths. Well, the gloves came off, the more they laughed the more we committed. Our eyes going to and fro looking intently around the room from girl to girl and hearing almost everyone of them in the room declare "I'm IN!". Game on boys!
Sarah, quickly looked into races and found a 10 km in Ancaster, on Saturday May 26th. So ladies, that's the day! The day we will make history, our own history. The day we can say "We did it...together". Can't you picture it? A beautiful spring morning, running with determination. Sweat pouring from every pour of our bodies, but loving the feeling of all your muscles and joints aligning with one another, and pushing you towards that finish line. The day all your hard work pays off. Just as we're approaching the finish line grabbing each others hands, and crossing the line together, hand in hand, cheering, while triumphant rounds of cheers and declarations ring loud in the spring air, pronouncing 'WE DID IT!'Wow...WEEEE DIIID IT!!!
(Ok, well it may not look like that).. but nevertheless we as a group of strong young women are going to do this, not for anyone but ourselves. God has handed us an incredible opportunity - A LIFE. I want to be strong, I want to be healthy, I want to accomplish EVERY little and big assignment He hands me. We need to do our part and make sure we take care of ourselves, so we're fit enough to climb every mountain that comes our way!
So ladies whose with us?
